Many people still don’t know the truth about the fatal Segway accident that took place on September 26, 2010, in the county of Yorkshire in England. Of course, the media hasn’t always been very accurate when reporting on the subject. Here’s the true story about the accident.

The short answer to this is simply No! The man who invented the Segway is actually a man from the USA called Dean Kaman – you can find out more about him on the link here.
Jimi Heselden, who owned the company that makes the Segway PT’s, plunged 42 feet from a cliff as he was taking his dog for a walk close to his home along the River Wharfe near Boston Spa, West Yorkshire. Reports say he was moving out of the way, to let someone pass. Read more here
The people I have spoken to, say that Jimmy was a truly kind man and I personally think Segway would be a lot different if he were still alive today.
